Gyeongju and Busan!!!! (Day 1)

This past weekend, many students from the UC program went on a field trip (2박 3 일) to Gyeongju and Busan! There was just so much to see and do. We left early Friday morning. It was raining quite hard in the morning. I'm glad it only rained the first day.
First stop: 불국사 (Bulguksa Temple)

The scenic view was absolutely gorgeous.

One of the first things you see as you walk in are these giant statues....

                                             다보탑- Dabotap                석가탑- Seokgatap

Can you spot the Golden pig????!!!!!

While on the bus, we spotted this awesome looking building that has a cutout of a pagoda. Secretly hoped w to see a pagoda nearby that could fit exactly in there.... Alas, no such luck.....

Next, 천마총 (Cheonmachong), a tomb of an unknown king from the Silla Kingdom.

Again, such a beautiful sight to see.

Haha, Ivana said that if these large hills weren't tombs, she would want to roll down them.

Entering the tomb.... no pictures were allowed inside T.T

경주빵! (Geyeongju bread, which has red bean paste on the inside ^^)

Dinner was at a very fancy place called 일번가 (Ilbunga).

Can you tell? The food was delish ^^

Check-in at Arpina Youth Hostel. We had 6 ladies in one room. Party!!!!

After checking in, the 6 of us (Tran, Ivana, Janet, Heather, Evelyn, and I) went out to
해운대 (Haeundae). With the beach and the 광안대교 (Grand Bridge) on one side of us and the city lights on the other, we had a lot to look at on the first night out.
While walking, we saw this cafe. I had to take a picture of it, since this brand came out in "City Hunter" ^^

Although this is not a great picture, I'm sure you can tell that those were some bright lights heehee

So pretty!
The beach was easily recognized as a "couple" spot, with pairs holding hands and wearing lots of matching clothes....

The city!

Me and Evelyn!

There is an 11 story building off the beach, entirely made up of fish stores and sushi/seafood restaurants!!!

The city!!
